What are the conditions for access and admission?
International student status holders who are:
a) Holders of a qualification giving access to higher education, understood as any diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority attesting to the successful completion of an educational programme and entitling them to apply for and enter higher education in the country in which it was awarded;
b) Or holders of a Portuguese secondary school diploma or legally equivalent qualification.
In addition, the Ranking Committee evaluates:
a) Whether the candidate has the specific academic qualification to enter the study programme they are applying for. This assessment is carried out by means of a documentary test or, if necessary, written or oral exams, and covers the subjects of the entrance exams set for the cycle of studies in question under the general Portuguese access and entrance regime;
b) Whether the candidate has knowledge of the language or languages in which the course is taught;
c) If the candidate fulfils the prerequisites that are required for the study cycle they are applying for (at UPB, prerequisites are only required for the School of Health’s Bachelor’s degree study cycles. The prerequisites required are of the ‘selection’ type and from Group A; see legislation).
