National Competition for Access to Higher Education

The National Competition for Access to Higher Education (CNA) is organized by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES) and takes place at the end of each academic year in three phases. To apply, it is necessary:
    • Hold a secondary school diploma or a legally equivalent qualification;
    • Complete, or have completed in the last two years, the national exams corresponding to the entrance exams required for the different study cycles and institutions to which you are applying;
    • Take the prerequisites if they are required by the institution for the cycle of studies you are applying for; at UPB, prerequisites are required for the Degree in Music in Community Contexts (Group S – Musical aptitude) and for all the degree cycles at the School of Health (Group A – Interpersonal communication);
    • Not eligible for international student status.
For each institution/course, a mark equal to or higher than the minimum set must be obtained in each entrance exam, as well as in the application grade. The minimum classifications are set annually by each higher education institution for each of its study cycles and are included in the Application Guide. See here all the information on vacancies, entrance exams, minimum classifications and the formula for calculating the application grade for all the degree courses offered by each UPB School.
