STARS EU

STARS EU was born as part of the European Commission’s ‘European Universities’ initiative to create networks of universities across the European Union.  The vision of this initiative is to create an innovative, competitive and attractive European Education Area and European Research Area, in full synergy with the European Higher Education Area, to pave the way for the universities of the future that also promote European values and identity. STARS EU is a transnational alliance of nine higher education institutions: Bragança Polytechnic University (Portugal), Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Bremen University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of La Laguna (Spain), University of Silesia in Opava (Czech Republic), West University (Sweden), Krakow University of Technology (Poland), University of Franche-Comté (France) and Aleksandër Moisiu University (Albania). Its main goals are:
    • Creating a generation of future-orientated students;
    • Developing innovative, flexible, diversified and challenge-based teaching/learning and research systems and methodologies;
    • Explore the synergies of interregional collaboration;
    • To have a positive and substantial impact on sustainable regional and European development.
STARS EU was approved by the European Commission in July 2023 and is funded by the Erasmus+ programme. All the information at starseu.org
