Esact 1
The School of Communication, Administration and Tourism (EsACT) was created in 1995 as a branch of the School of Technology and Management in Mirandela. In 1999 it acquired an autonomous structure and the designation Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Mirandela, a designation that remained in force until the restructuring of the UPB Statutes in 2008, when it took on its current name.
With new infrastructures, renovated facilities and modern equipment, EsACT focuses its expertise on three strategic areas – Communication, Administration and Tourism – spread across several CTeSP courses and Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses.
The areas of Communication, Administration and Tourism, seen as critical and crucial both for the School and for the development of the municipality, are also seen as strategic in their scientific and research activity, taking advantage of existing technological resources, business dynamism and the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
