The completion of a mobility period at UPB by a student from another HEI requires the existence of a bilateral agreement between the two institutions and the definition of an individual study contract for each student on mobility. The individual study contract establishes the curricular units that the student will attend during their mobility period at UPB. In Portugal, the first semester generally begins in September and the second semester in March. The study contract is drawn up between the student and the institutional offices of the two institutions. Students interested in a period of mobility at UPB should contact the office responsible for this program at their home institution.
Only in extraordinary cases and if accepted by both HEIs. The extension will be carried out without an additional grant. Students seeking to extend their mobility period must contact the GRI one month before the end of the previous mobility period.
The student should contact their school’s Erasmus Coordinator to assess the necessary changes and amend the learning agreement, which should be signed by the host Higher Education Institution and sent to the GRI.
The student must have personal health insurance cover valid in the country of destination.
Students with a mobility grant should contact the GRI and the host HEI for a guarantee of room and food.
Students without a grant should contact the GRI and the host HEI for information on how to obtain accommodation.
Travel and travel arrangements are the responsibility of each student.
If the student is selected for a period of mobility, they should immediately go to the GRI to fill in the necessary forms and submit the following documentation: two copies of the learning agreement duly signed by the Erasmus Coordinator at their school, the application form from the host HEI, two passport-sized photographs, a photocopy of their ID card and NIF or Citizen’s Card or a copy of their Passport.
You should also find out more about the host HEI by consulting their website and, in particular, find out about their deadlines.
When necessary, the GRI will assist the student in obtaining a visa.
Students should contact their school’s Erasmus Coordinator for guidance and to define their individual study program at the host HEI. Before departure, all students selected for mobility must sign their learning agreement. This contract will be signed by the student and the Academic and Institutional Coordinators of both institutions.
