I'm over 23, but I'm attending or have already attended a higher education course. Can I enter another higher education course/course through the 23+ regime?

Students who have attended higher education or hold a degree are not prevented from accessing the access regime for those over 23, as long as they do not have the access qualification for an institution/course, i.e. as long as they do not have the access qualification through the National Competition for Access to Higher Education. In addition, these students who attend or have attended a higher education course/cycle of studies will also be able to enter another course/cycle of studies through other access routes (in particular, the change of institution/course regime or the special competition for holders of other higher education courses).

I've completed the secondary school. Can I enter higher education using the special access conditions for people over 23?

Yes, as long as you have reached your 23rd birthday by December 31st of the year preceding the exams and, although you have an academic qualification in secondary education or equivalent, you have not passed the entrance exam(s) required for the institution/course, meaning you do not have the access qualification.

If I pass the capacity assessment tests for people over 23, when can I submit my application to enter UPB?

The application process for admission to UPB’s degree courses for candidates who pass the exams is carried out within the framework of the respective Special Competition, at UPB’s Academic Services, during the months of July and August.

What do the tests for evaluating the capacity of people over 23 to attend UPB bachelor's degree courses consist of?

In accordance with the provisions of the UPB regulation (Regulation no. 98/2006 of June 14), the evaluation of the ability to attend UPB degree courses includes: a) Evaluation of the candidate’s academic and professional curriculum (through the curriculum vitae submitted at the time of application); b) The assessment of the candidate’s motivations, carried out through an interview; c) Knowledge assessment tests, of a theoretical and/or practical nature, to assess the knowledge and skills considered indispensable for entry and progression on the course, which can be organized according to the different profiles of the candidates and the courses/cycles of study for which they are intended. The decision of approval is expressed in a grade in the 10-20 range and is the result of the classification of the knowledge assessment tests, weighted by the other items assessed, based on a formula to be defined by the Technical-Scientific Council of each School. The final decision is published.
