Coursera

Coursera is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) provider, founded by professors from Stanford University, which already has more than 275 higher education institutions and companies collaborating with it. In 2021, UPB joined this international platform, providing its teachers and students with the possibility of complementing their face-to-face activity, through the support activities offered in blended and e-learning formats, and allowing all its employees to improve their professional and relational skills, with a view to carrying out their duties. Coursera offers online classes from various international higher education institutions, in video format and a wide range of reading suggestions ( mandatory and optional), for a better understanding of the content and acquisition of skills. In the context of international partnerships, this platform could become a support tool for distance mobility and for preparing students who have needs or gaps in their basic training.
