Mobility for Traineeships
Mobility for traineeships (SMT) is aimed at:
-
- to students, to carry out curricular and extracurricular traineeships for CTeSPs, Bachelor’s Degrees and Master’s Degrees (including traineeships for Dissertations, Project Work or Professional Internships which are the subject of a final report);
-
- to recent graduates, as long as the internship is completed no later than one year after the date of obtaining the diploma of the study cycle in which they were enrolled.
The UPB guarantees an SMT grant for the entire period of mobility (between 2 and 12 months). The accomplishment of curricular and extracurricular internships will be certified in the Diploma Supplement when carried out as a student or through a certificate when carried out as a recent graduate.
Study Mobility
Study mobility (SMS) is aimed at Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students taking courses at a European HEI. UPB guarantees an SMS grant for the entire period of mobility (between 3 and 12 months). Study mobility is certified in the Diploma Supplement.
Student mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme has the following types:
-
- Student Mobility for Studies (SMS) – a period of study at a European HEI that has an Erasmus Agreement with UPB;
-
- Student Mobility for Traineeships (SMT) – carrying out a traineeship at an HEI, entity or organization based in an EU country.
During each study cycle, the student can undertake mobility for studies (SMS scholarships) and for internships (SMT scholarships, as a student or recent graduate), for a total of 12 months [12 months for (CTeSP + Bachelor’s degree) and another 12 months for Master’s degrees].
Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the 2021-2027 period and aims to promote the personal and professional development of all citizens, to strengthen European identity, sustainable growth, social cohesion and people’s employability.
The priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme in Higher Education are:
-
- Ensuring that graduates’ skills match the needs of the economy and the labor market and promoting excellence in skills development;
- Developing inclusive higher education systems;
-
- Ensure that HEIs contribute to innovation, especially at local and regional level;
-
- Contributing to effective and efficient higher education systems.
Among other activities, this program allows and encourages mobility activities between HEIs, allowing the mobility of students, recent graduates, teachers and non-teaching staff. With regard to higher education students, Erasmus+ covers degree courses (Bachelor’s degree – 1st cycle, Master’s degree – 2nd cycle and PhD – 3rd cycle) as well as short courses (CTeSP – Higher Professional Technical Courses).
